Applying to BASIS Independent Silicon Valley

Thank you for your interest in learning more about admission to BASIS Independent Silicon Valley. Our process is selective and multi-step, ensuring we spend time getting to know our applicants, their families, and vice-versa. 

We are accepting applications for grades 5-9 on a rolling basis (Rolling Admissions). 

During the rolling admissions cycle applications are reviewed as soon as they are complete, we aim to notify you of the admission decision within two weeks.  Please note, grade 8 is full, any student applying now will be applying for a space in the wait pool.

2018-19 Rolling Applications

We are currently accepting rolling applications for grades 5-9.  Grade 8 is full for the 2018 school year, any student applying now will be applying for a space in the wait pool.  Register for our interest list to receive updates from our admissions team or submit a rolling application now.

Admissions Steps and Requirements

    Attend an Informational Event (Optional)


  • 2

    Complete and submit an online application along with a $65 non-refundable application fee.


  • 3

    Provide letter of recommendation forms to the student's current teacher(s): math and English.


  • 4

    Provide transcript request and standardized test scores to the student's current school for the most current year and the last two years.

  • 5

    Register online for your student's entrance exam.

    Required for all grades (grades 512).


  • 6

    Register online for your family meeting.



  • 7

    Register online for a school tour (optional).
