Week 6: Finalizing the Altimeter Code

Mar 30, 2019

This week was simply a continuation of those past. I finalized my order from Altus Metrum for the rocket fins, and I gathered supplies from SJSU to build my rocket. These include an I280 motor for rocket flight and a standard coupler/nosecone/rocket body. The three fin types that I will simulate in the model runs will be stratified, elliptical, and clipped delta.

I again went to SJSU to work on the code for the altimeter. We added in a couple more helper methods, and we are very close to finalizing the code. When my professor returns from his trip, we will show him the code and he can decide if we are finished and ready to move on to the next step, which will be building the model rockets to fly in May.

Your work seems to be going along steadily. With all the time you’ve put into the code, hopefully your professor will approve it.
