#5 – the flu got to me!

Mar 17, 2019

Hello reader!

I was able to interview 3 amazing artists this week in both San Francisco and San Jose. They all were super nice and provided invaluable insight into my quest of learning the artist community in the Bay Area! Furthermore, I do have a lot more people to contact besides 2 interviews already scheduled for next week. I’m happy with the progress I’ve made so far.

However, I got the flu on Friday, which was not a surprise because my entire family got it and I was just the last victim… Please stay warm and don’t wear a dress like I did! Anyways, I was not able to transcribe these interviews like I planned to, so I’ll spend a lot of time next week on transcription and try to schedule more interviews after I finish what I already recorded. After learning a lot from art educators, I’m trying to get in touch with graphic designers, fine artists who don’t teach, and art dealers, whom I believe will offer a different perspective. Hopefully I’ll recover soon because I have an interview on Tuesday.

My Tylenol-affected brain tells me to keep this brief, so I will tell you more about my findings in next week’s blog, plus sharing my interview experience. Stay tune!

Maybe the flu is trying to tell you, in its own way, that you’re working too hard.
