This week, I was mainly doing the home page design and finding nice photos to highlight the website. On Monday, I went on Fiverr and had someone create a logo design for me to use on my site. The process was very simple and easy to use and the logo came within 2 days.
In the meanwhile, I was also reading my book “Blue Ocean Strategy” and have been discovered that much of what I had learned in my Intro to Business class in 10th grade was outdated information. For example, in business class, we had learned that we should ask consumers about our product and how you can improve the product. Although helpful in the short term, the book explains that it fails to address the long term of your business. It is not wise to consult with customers because they scarcely know how to create uncontested market space and generally advice for a “offer me more for less” insight, which is not setting up a company for strong, profitable growth trajectories. This is just one of many examples of the thought-provoking knowledge this book contains.
During the latter half of the week, I was focused on finishing the website and looking at videos for Facebook advertisements because the next step in the process is to advertise. I hope to share more about Facebook advertising in the next blog.
