Ms. Rodriguez attended Golden State Baptist College where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with a Major in History and a Minor in Computer Business. She began working in an academic setting during her first year at college where she was able to help high school students balance home, academic, and social requirements, and guide them to their ultimate goals. During her final years as a college student, Ms. Rodriguez was selected to be a Student Advisor to underclassmen. This opportunity allowed her to take her own personal experiences and help freshman with any challenges they were facing. She has worked in the private school setting since 2012 with the last two years dedicated to teaching.
Ms. Rodriguez wants to see her students mature, develop hardworking attitudes, and become self-reliant. She was drawn to BASIS Independent because it has a history of academic excellence along with an environment where students and their hard work are celebrated. She believes in the importance of having a strong relationship with her students and being approachable, but also establishing boundaries and holding students accountable for their own actions. She also supports the idea that with the right support and encouragement, any child that is willing to thrive, can succeed.
When she's not working with students, Ms. Rodriguez is watching baseball and rooting for the LA Dodgers.
