Mr. Wolf holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a Master of Music degree from University of Nevada, Reno. A woodwind specialist, he has performed extensively throughout the country with such groups as the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, the Temptations, Chicago the musical, and has additionally composed and recorded for NBC television.
Mr. Wolf is continually driven by the profound role that music brings to students' lives. His passionate role in education began at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, CA, where he taught Jazz History, Music Theory, Applied Music, and was later Interim Director of Jazz Studies. He also taught Applied Music at Cal Poly University, and is a regular festival-adjudicator and clinician for Middle School and High School orchestra and band programs.
At BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, Mr. Wolf is drawn to the unique synergy of its bright and ambitious students, remarkable faculty, and the philosophy and framework for innovation and excellence. Teaching AP Music Theory, Music History, and leading the Orchestras, Mr. Wolf is elated to be working with BASIS Independent Silicon Valley's talented and determined students who embrace music amongst their many pursuits.
Mr. Wolf is a lover of history, culture, food, the outdoors, and most of all, his family, who finds inspiration in San Jose's cultural and artistic diversity, along with the many exciting and enriching activities available to explore each weekend.
